The front side of Purgatory features some of the resort's
more leisurely runs. On the skiers left side are some long
cruisers, mild bumps, and the steepest trails. Purgatory is
located in southwestern Colorado and gets more sunny days
per year than any other Colorado resort.
Editors Note: Purgatory's setup is such that many
runs on the front side end in a valley. This allows you to
see across much of the base to other lifts. Purgatory is near
Durango which is a great town to visit!
